Does tête therapy accept my insurance?

Our practice is an out-of-network provider. We are not in-network with any insurance plans. We take payment in full at the time of service for all sessions. Once you become a client, you have the option to connect with Float, a billing service that offers seamless submission and tracking of your claims. After each session, you will receive your invoice via email and can access it through your Float account. The invoice will clearly indicate your financial responsibility and the estimated portion covered by your insurance. As a client, you may choose to pay only your co-insurance, which helps to reduce the upfront cost. For more information, you can explore the details and benefits of using Float.

What is the cost per session at tête therapy?

How do I know if one of the therapists at tête is a good fit for me?

After you contact our office and have an initial consultation with our Client Care Coordinator, you’ll be matched with a therapist on our team. We take great care to pair you with the professional we feel has the best expertise and experience to help you with your unique needs. Before you have your first official session, you’ll have a chance to talk to your paired therapist in a 15-minute consultation to confirm that you’re a good fit. We recommend that you consider how comfortable you are talking to your therapist and if you feel safe opening up in their presence. Ask yourself, “Is this someone I’d like to be in a room with to do deeper work on myself?” At tête, we believe that a healthy client-therapist relationship starts with trust and builds on that trust over time.

Can I request a certain therapist?

Absolutely! If you see a therapist on our website that you’re particularly interested in working with, just add that to your message when you contact us for your initial consultation.

What types of therapy are offered at tête therapy?

Our team has an eclectic variety of expertise that allows us to offer formal Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and psychodynamic therapy. Our therapists draw from their many years of experience and training to provide you with the best possible support for your needs. At our Miami office, we also offer senior and geriatric specialized services for those who are 60 years and older. We do not offer substance abuse therapy, psychiatric care, acute mental illness care, or medication management.

What is the difference between CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic therapy?

The CBT approach to therapy is focused on talking through thought patterns and redirecting those patterns to change behavior. The way that your thoughts influence your feelings is emphasized in CBT. The DBT approach to therapy focuses on changing behavior from a place of acceptance. DBT is focused on regulating intense emotions, increasing distress tolerance, and building healthy relationships. In psychodynamic therapy, there is a heavier emphasis on how the past, including childhood experiences and trauma, affects the unconscious. Clients can develop deeper self-awareness and an understanding of what causes their emotions and colors their experiences through psychodynamic therapy.
